PLM and Top 5 American Enterprise Software Companies

Two PLM software providers were mentioned in Business Review USA in the list of top 5 American Enterprise Software Companies. These two are Siemens PLM and Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). Other three on the list are Oracle, Microsoft and Infor.

In addition, BR mentioned the following:

PLM has proven most beneficial for large, global businesses. The platform and software allows companies to manage products, streamline the design and engineering processes and manage the manufacturing supply chain while reducing costs and supporting current products.

I’m curious about what were BR’s criteria to select these companies. What was very interesting is not to see salesforce.com in this list. BR didn’t mention anything about that.
