Develop3D Live USA – Boston

Develop3D Live USA – Boston

I spent today at Develop3D Live Boston. The event is focusing on engineering and design space and organized by Develop3D crew located in UK. If you never heard about Develop3D, you probably should – this is one of the very few PRINTED magazines I still keep on my bookshelves.

The event organization is a single day with presentations and exhibition. The scope of presentation is very unusual mixer goes from opening keynote by co-founder and designer of Crave, a necklace-turned-vibrator and presentation of well known CAD industry executives and entrepreneurs.

The following picture is a snapshot of the sessions.

You can watch recording of live video streaming here. Few snapshot I captured for my PLM twisted mind followers.

Here is a slide from Onshape Jon Hirschtick presentation sharing what is Onshape modern CAD platform (I will address Onshape topic in a separate post, but meantime some food for thoughts).

Engineers are special people. The following picture of Blake Courter (VP product of nTopology) is the best confirmation. This is probably my favorite picture from Develop3D Live USA 2018.

Suchit Jaine from Solidworks shared his perspective on innovation in manufacturing with some great engineering examples.

Develop3D Live is clearly a gathering of CAD and design community. The following video of walking in exhibition floor can give you some idea about who attended Develop3D Live USA.  If I didn’t catch somebody on the video, please accept my apology. The list of Develop3D Live sponsors.

What is my conclusion? Develop3D Live is traditionally taking place in Boston for the 3rd year. I hope the event will be developed even more and provide a good stage for 3D CAD design and engineering innovators in Boston and U.S. Just my thoughts…

Best, Oleg
