My last article from NetSuite SuiteWorld 2019 in Las Vegas is about Oracle NetSuite Manufacturing vision. It was presented during on of manufacturing sessions by David Gustovich, AVP of Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain at Oracle NetSuite.

Here are few slides I captured from this session. These slides can give you an idea about what lines Oracel NetSuite is thinking about.

Disruption in Manufacturing and Industry 4.0.

The following one is important – hyperconnected companies, products as a service, supply chain is horizontally and vertically integrated.

Oracle NetSuite vision – everything is connected

The last slide is one of my favorites. The purpose-built application is an interesting approach. It is a switch from gigantic product portfolios to specific applications using data from one or multiple sources.

What is my conclusion? We are moving into a world where connected data platforms will play a significant role in the way future business processes will be managed. In the past silos were dominant and in many ways dictated how to organize information and operate. Horizontally and vertically integrated supply chain combined with globalization is changing the landscape of business systems. Connectivity and collaboration will play a key role in these future systems. Just my thoughts…
