Thoughts about PLM Blogging, Artificial Intelligence, and Email Subscription

As we step into 2025, I’ve been reflecting on the evolution of my blogging and changing I’m planning ahead. Let me share some of my thoughts about the direction I’m taking and they way we will stay connected.

AI and Blogging

2024 was a year of discovery about AI’s role in content creation. You can read some of my ideas and thoughts here – Blogging evolution from Yahoo and Web 2.0 until AI co-pilots. I’ve been discussing with and experimenting during 2024, I reached some conclusion about AI and blog – while AI excels at consolidating thoughts and summarizing materials with remarkable speed and accuracy, it cannot replace human originality or authentic voice.

For 2025, I’m planning to put more focus on daily blogging and sharing my thoughts and perspectives. The format of daily blogging allows me to communicate more thoughts and ideas with you while letting AI tools “to read” my blog and use the power of AI summary to slice and dice the content.

Sharing Daily Thoughts

There’s a famous quote, often attributed to Blaise Pascal, Mark Twain, and Woodrow Wilson: “If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter.” This perfectly captures the essence of what I’m aiming for in 2025. It takes time to write shorter articles and I’m planning to challenge myself with this short form of articles.

I’ve always had at least one meaningful thought to share each day, and I’m excited to return to this format. With AI tools now capable of reading and synthesizing internet content freely, I can focus on what matters most – sharing original insights while letting AI handle the heavy lifting of research and background information.

My Wake-Up Call About Email Communication

Let me share a humbling story from earlier this year. During a conference, I met a long-time reader who asked why I had stopped blogging. I was taken off base – I hadn’t stopped at all! But his perception came from no longer receiving email notifications about new posts. Due to some Google infrastructure changes, our email subscription system had stopped working, and amid the busy schedules at OpenBOM, fixing it took a back seat.

I’m happy to announce that this issue has been resolved. The Beyond PLM email subscription service is now back online, ensuring you won’t miss any updates. I’m working to to restore email updates and weekly newsletter from Beyond PLM in the next few weeks.

What is my conclusion?

As we enter 2025, I’m energized about these new changes and experiments in blogging. I’m particularly excited about returning to daily thought-sharing. Your input matters – if you have ideas or specific topics you’d like to read about, please reach out directly.
